    <description>Title: Assessing the Level of Family Satisfaction Regarding the Quality of Health Care Provided to Their Infant and Pediatric Patients in Ramallah Hospitals: A Cross-Sectional Study رسالة ماجستير
Authors: Raddad, Ziad Naeem Othman$AAUP$Palestinian
Abstract: Background: Healthcare quality is a multidimensional concept that has evolved, beginning with &#xD;
Donabedian’s foundation definition emphasizing the maximization of health benefits while &#xD;
minimizing harm, and later expanded by the Institute of Medicine to include effectiveness, &#xD;
safety, patient-centeredness, and consistency with professional standards. In Pediatric and &#xD;
neonatal care, assessing health care quality requires particular attention to children’s &#xD;
developmental needs and active involvement of families.  &#xD;
Aim: This study aims to assess the level of family satisfaction regarding the quality of health &#xD;
care provided to infant and pediatric patients in Ramallah hospitals &#xD;
Methodology: A cross-sectional quantitative study design was conducted in selected &#xD;
governmental and private hospitals in Ramallah City. The study population included parents or &#xD;
primary caregivers of hospitalized neonatal and pediatric patients who met the inclusion &#xD;
criteria. Furthermore, the sampling was used using a stratified proportional sampling technique &#xD;
to recruit participants. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire consisting &#xD;
of two parts: the Child Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) &#xD;
survey, while the second part consisted of a sociodemographic questionnaire related to the child &#xD;
and caregiver. &#xD;
Result: Approximately two-thirds of parents reported consistently positive experiences, &#xD;
indicating a high overall level of satisfaction with pediatric inpatient care, particularly with &#xD;
regard to communication and interpersonal interactions from nurses and doctors. While &#xD;
admission, family-centered communication, discharge planning, and adolescent involvement &#xD;
were somewhat lower but still satisfactory. The level of satisfaction, core care procedures, and &#xD;
the hospital setting were all assessed well. Mothers reported marginally higher satisfaction than &#xD;
other caregivers, but sociodemographic characteristics had no statistically significant &#xD;
association. Hospital satisfaction varied, with Istishari Arab Hospital rated best. &#xD;
Conclusion: In pediatric and neonatal care, a variety of organizational, environmental, and &#xD;
patient-related factors influence patient satisfaction. The most significant and modifiable &#xD;
determinant of positive care experiences factor influencing happy experiences, is effective &#xD;
communication. Enhancing family satisfaction and healthcare quality requires a &#xD;
comprehensive, patient-centered approach that emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, &#xD;
developmentally appropriate care environments, and continuous quality monitoring

    <title>The Effect of Behavioral Biases on Banking Credit Decision رسالة دكتوراة</title>

    <description>Title: The Effect of Behavioral Biases on Banking Credit Decision رسالة دكتوراة
Authors: Selmi, Asmaa Hasan Saleem$AAUP$Palestinian
Abstract: This study investigates the effect of behavioral biases on banking credit decisions, focusing on &#xD;
both cognitive and emotional biases. The cognitive biases examined include overconfidence, &#xD;
representativeness, anchoring and adjustment, cognitive dissonance, availability, self-attribution, &#xD;
illusion of control, conservatism, ambiguity aversion, mental accounting, confirmation, &#xD;
hindsight, recency, and framing biases, while the emotional biases include endowment, self&#xD;
control, optimism, loss aversion, regret aversion, and status quo biases. This study uses a &#xD;
quantitative approach; relies on secondary data from academic literature and primary data &#xD;
collected through a survey questionnaire administered to credit officers, credit analysts, credit &#xD;
managers, and branch managers across the Palestinian commercial banks, through simple &#xD;
random sampling. The results show that banking credit decisions are significantly influenced by &#xD;
overconfidence and self-attribution, anchoring, illusion of control, availability, conservatism, and &#xD;
the overall behavioral bias index, as their significance levels were below 0.05. Hindsight bias &#xD;
was the only cognitive bias found to have no effect, while representativeness, endowment effect, &#xD;
optimism, status quo, self-control, mental accounting, regret aversion, loss aversion, and &#xD;
ambiguity aversion biases also showed no significant impact, with significance levels above &#xD;
0.05.

    <title>Public Diplomacy and its Role in Changing Foreign Policies and Convincing People, Case Study: Israeli Public Diplomacy "Hasbara" And How Israel Uses it to Cover Up its Crimes against Palestinians رسالة ماجستير</title>

    <description>Title: Public Diplomacy and its Role in Changing Foreign Policies and Convincing People, Case Study: Israeli Public Diplomacy "Hasbara" And How Israel Uses it to Cover Up its Crimes against Palestinians رسالة ماجستير
Authors: Owda, Mahdi Hasan Harb$AAUP$Palestinian
Abstract: Over the years, and for a long time, Israel has tried to polish its image and present itself to &#xD;
the world as the only democracy in the Middle East by demonstrating its respect for human rights, &#xD;
women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and minority rights. It has achieved this through its laws and &#xD;
actions, gaining the support of many people around the world, especially in Western countries and &#xD;
America. However, the question remains—and I'm particularly concerned—how did Israel &#xD;
succeed in this?  &#xD;
As a Palestinian living in the West Bank, I witness Israel's racist practices and violations of &#xD;
international law and human rights. This question has arisen for me, especially since I witness &#xD;
these violations firsthand and experience them almost daily. However, when I examined Israeli &#xD;
public diplomacy, I discovered that Israel uses "hasbara" (Israeli public diplomacy) to present itself &#xD;
in the best possible light to the world by disseminating its narrative through cultural initiatives, &#xD;
student exchanges, education, art, and environmental conservation. While non-Palestinians might &#xD;
see all of this as an achievement for Israelis, Palestinians see only oppression, displacement, &#xD;
killing, violations, and the almost daily incursions into West Bank cities, as well as the ongoing &#xD;
genocide in the Gaza Strip.  &#xD;
Through this research, the reader will understand the true nature of the Israeli government, which &#xD;
is based on self-promotion and portraying itself as the savior of the Palestinians and other &#xD;
oppressed peoples. The reader will see how Israel has succeeded in presenting Tel Aviv as a land &#xD;
of freedom, democracy, and security, especially for those in need of protection, based on the &#xD;
premise that Tel Aviv is their safe haven. On the other hand, Tel Aviv is an Israeli city built on the &#xD;
ruins of the lands of the village of Sheikh Munis in 1948.  &#xD;
VI &#xD;
My grandparents were displaced from the lands of the Palestinian village of Tira Dandan, located &#xD;
northeast of Lod, in 1948. No trace of it remains today as a Palestinian village; it is now an Israeli &#xD;
town called Givat Koach. None of the family has had the opportunity to return due to the Israeli &#xD;
occupation, which promised the displaced Palestinians the right to return to their villages in the &#xD;
Oslo Accords. Despite this, the world sees Israel as a country of equality, rights, and democracy.  &#xD;
Through this research, the reader will understand how the Israeli Hasbara (public relations &#xD;
apparatus) has worked to convince thousands of people worldwide of its narrative and present it &#xD;
in the best possible light. We will also see the methods Israel has used to succeed in its own &#xD;
narrative. On the other hand, I will expose the actions Israel has taken against the Palestinian &#xD;
people in recent years, actions that demonstrate grave and blatant violations of human rights, &#xD;
particularly the rights of the Palestinian people.  &#xD;
Finally, the reader will see how Palestinians can work to build their own narrative, with practical &#xD;
examples on the ground representing Palestinian public diplomacy. They will also see how &#xD;
Palestinians can refute the Israeli narrative by disseminating their own narrative to convince the &#xD;
world of its validity, thereby strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian people and revealing &#xD;
the true nature of the Palestinian cause from an ideological and intellectual perspective, rather than &#xD;
simply as a military conflict between two equal powers.

    <title>The impact of Financial Rewards on Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Private Schools in Jerusalem: Employee Engagement as a mediator رسالة ماجستير</title>
    <link>http://repository.aaup.edu/jspui/handle/123456789/3861</link>
    <description>Title: The impact of Financial Rewards on Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Private Schools in Jerusalem: Employee Engagement as a mediator رسالة ماجستير
Authors: Abu Aram, Fayyad Musa Muhammad$AAUP$Palestinian
Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the impact of financial rewards on enhancing organizational &#xD;
citizenship behavior among employees in private schools in Jerusalem, while also examining &#xD;
the mediating role of job engagement in this relationship. The study is based on the &#xD;
theoretical premise that financial rewards, as one of the most important human resource &#xD;
management tools, not only directly influence positive organizational behaviors but also &#xD;
foster employees' psychological and emotional engagement with the workplace. This &#xD;
engagement, in turn, manifests as voluntary behaviors that extend beyond the requirements &#xD;
of formal job roles. &#xD;
The study employed a quantitative descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing a field survey &#xD;
methodology. A questionnaire was distributed to a convenience sample of 330 teachers, &#xD;
workers and administrators working in private schools in Jerusalem, based on the Kregsee &#xD;
and Morgan formula. The questionnaire comprised three main sections: financial rewards &#xD;
(salaries, insurance, and benefits), job engagement, and organizational citizenship behavior. &#xD;
The data were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods, including correlation and &#xD;
regression analysis, and structural equation modeling to examine the direct and indirect &#xD;
relationships between the variables. &#xD;
The study results showed a statistically significant positive effect of financial rewards on &#xD;
organizational citizenship behavior. The results also demonstrated a strong positive &#xD;
relationship between financial rewards and employee engagement levels. Furthermore, the &#xD;
findings confirmed the partial mediating role of employee engagement in the relationship &#xD;
between financial rewards and organizational citizenship behavior, indicating that financial &#xD;
rewards contribute to fostering positive organizational behaviors to a greater extent when &#xD;
they lead to increased employee engagement. &#xD;
The study concluded with a set of recommendations, most notably the need for private school &#xD;
administrations in Jerusalem to adopt fair and transparent financial reward systems and link &#xD;
them to effective strategies for enhancing employee engagement. This would contribute to &#xD;
developing organizational citizenship behavior and improving institutional performance &#xD;
amidst the economic and political challenges facing the Palestinian education sector. The &#xD;
study also recommended future research addressing other mediating and moderating &#xD;
variables in different educational contexts to deepen the scientific understanding of this &#xD;
topic
