Assessment of Nutritional Awareness and Behavior Among Students in the College of Sports Science at the Arab American University

Title: Assessment of Nutritional Awareness and Behavior Among Students in the College of Sports Science at the Arab American University
Authors: Abbas, Islam$AAUP$Palestinian; Joudallah, Hasan$Other$Palestinian
Abstract: The study aimed to determine the level of nutritional awareness and behavior
among students of the Faculty of Sports Science at the Arab American
University. To achieve this, the researcher employed the descriptive survey
method due to its suitability and the nature of the study. The study sample
consisted of 68 students, selected randomly. The researcher used a nutritional
awareness and behavior scale, which he developed, and the final version of the
scale comprised 34 items. After conducting statistical analysis using the
Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), the study found that the level
of nutritional awareness and behavior among students of the Faculty of Sports
Science at the Arab American University was moderate. Additionally, there were
no statistically significant differences related to academic level. However, there
were statistically significant differences related to gender, favoring females. In
light of these results, the researcher recommended increasing the level of
nutritional awareness and behavior among college students by expanding the
number of courses related to the subject of the study.

Assessing the Alterations in the Health Awareness Level of Arab American University Students following a Physical Education Course

Title: Assessing the Alterations in the Health Awareness Level of Arab American University Students following a Physical Education Course
Authors: Abbas, Islam$AAUP$Palestinian; abueid, Samer$AAUP$Palestinian; Joudallah, Hassan$Other$Palestinian
Abstract: The study aimed to identify differences in the level of health awareness among students enrolled in the physical education course at the Arab American University after completing the course. Additionally, the researchers examined whether there were statistically significant differences attributed to variables such as gender and college. The researchers used a descriptive approach due to its suitability for the study's nature. The study population consisted of 155 male and female students, with a sample of 110 students randomly selected, representing 70.9% of the original study population . The researchers utilized a health awareness scale comprising four dimensions (nutrition, personal health, physical activity, physique). Data analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The key findings indicated statistically significant differences between pre-assessment and post-assessment of health awareness levels among students enrolled in the physical education course in favor of the post assessment. Moreover, statistically significant differences were found in the post assessment of health awareness levels based on the college variable, favoring scientific colleges, while no statistically significant differences were observed based on the gender variable. The researchers recommended intensifying health awareness campaigns for students in humanities colleges and university students in general.

The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Developing Strategic Management Functions Through The Strategic Management Process

Title: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Developing Strategic Management Functions Through The Strategic Management Process
Authors: Nazzal, Hanan$AAUP$Palestinian
Abstract: This study investigates the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in developing Strategic Management Functions (SMFs) through the Strategic Management Process (SMP). Drawing upon a theoretical framework integrating AI technologies (Machine Learning, Expert Systems, Big Data Analytics) and core strategic functions (planning, organizing, leading, and controlling), the research empirically examines how AI influences SMP (formulation, implementation, and evaluation) and, in turn, enhances SMFs. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings confirm that AI has a significant direct and indirect impact on the development of SMFs, mediated by the SMP. The model explains 84.1% of the variance in SMP and 71.3% in SMFs. This study contributesto strategic management literature by empirically validating the mediating role of SMP in AI-driven organizational development. Practical implications highlight the importance of integrating AI across strategy and operations to build dynamic, adaptive, and intelligent enterprises.

Global approaches to affordable housing: comparative insights from developed and developing countries and the case of Palestine

Title: Global approaches to affordable housing: comparative insights from developed and developing countries and the case of Palestine
Authors: Sabah, Faisal $AAUP$Palestinian
Abstract: Affordable housing remains one of the most pressing global policy challenges,
with strategies and constraints differing significantly between developed and
developing contexts. This study employs a comparative policy analysis of six
case countries United States, Germany, Japan, India, Brazil, and South Africa
to examine how diverse socio-economic and political settings shape housing
strategies. The analysis focuses on key factors influencing affordability, including
regulatory frameworks, financial mechanisms, community participation, and
innovation in addressing local needs. In Palestine, the interaction of political
conflict, land restrictions, and economic constraints creates a unique and highly
constrained housing environment that requires context-specific responses. The
study indicates that developed countries benefit from structured public–private
partnerships and robust regulatory frameworks, whereas developing countries
rely more on community-driven initiatives and flexible financing models.
Lessons from this comparative analysis can inform global policymakers
by emphasizing resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability in housing policies,
with particular relevance for improving affordability in conflict-affected and
economically constrained settings such as Palestine.
