Abstract: | The study is entitled Knowledge Management as a mediator variable between strategic planning and sustainable development. Aims to know the extent of awareness and use of knowledge management in strategic planning to achieve sustainable development, to achieve the main study objective the study has achieve sub-objectives, the current study uses the quantitative research method, the structured questionnaire has been developed to collect the primary data, the targeted population the employees in six municipalities classified "A" in the northern West Bank the study a convenience sample is 342 respondents, while Combination of (SPSS 25.0) and (SMARTPLS3) were used to analyze the collected data, findings are clear that total average of strategic planning of all three dimensions among the employees in municipalities represents are moderate where the study found out the level of sustainable development in Palestinian Municipalities "A" has a moderate, all items of the level of implementing knowledge management are moderate ; the level of implementing information technology is moderate on the total average score (3.57), the level of implementing sharing knowledge is medium on the total average score (3.26), the level of human resources is moderate on total score (3.04), the level of implementing application of knowledge is moderate on total score (3.21).also finding show there is statically significant impact of strategic planning on sustainable development in municipalities classified "A", findings have also show significant impact of the strategic planning on the knowledge management. VI The current study recommends that, establishing monitoring and evaluation department for strategic plans to ensure achievement strategic goals, analyzing indicators of the dimensions of sustainable development by using knowledge management to achieve the sustainable development goals for the year 2030 as much as possible when updating and formulation strategic plans in municipalities, monitoring workshops and conferences received by employees to implement knowledge, actual participation in the strategic plans of employees and holding periodic meetings to present what has been accomplished and suspended, informing new employees of strategic plans, encouraging development programs, modern methods and creative initiatives, develop criteria for evaluating employee performance, finally develop an information infrastructure using technology to share knowledge. The main limitation of study is lacking awareness of municipalities and society of the importance of the questionnaire and not giving it importance and priority |
