Abstract: In an extremely competitive environment, the most significant challenge for companies is to afford higher quality products at the lowest prices. To ensure this, companies have to analyze and rationalize all elements of their business value. Since Cost of Quality (COQ) constitutes a notable portion of the business cost and a substantial part of the sales revenue, it becomes imperative for companies to manage and control quality-related costs. Therefore, this study aims to examine the level of application of the COQ (prevention cost, appraisal cost, internal and external failure cost) in Palestinian Food Manufacturing Companies. It also examines the impact of COQ adoption on organizational accomplishment in these companies. It has adopted a mixed methods methodology, which is characterized as a sequential exploratory design. Specifically, it is based on collecting qualitative data and analyzing it in the first phase, then containing the quantitative data to be studied in the second phase. Ten semi-structured interviews in food companies and 119 surveys were collected from Palestinian Food Manufacturing Companies. The data analysis was conducted utilizing the thematic analysis, descriptive statistics, and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results confirm that COQ has a positive impact on performance of the Palestinian Food Manufacturing Companies' In particular, the results show that prevention costs positively affect organizational performance, while the costs of internal and external failure have shown a negative impact on organizational performance. Ultimately, the study presents a framework intended to help the companies formulate their strategies to implement COQ. This study is considered among the first empirical studies exploring the impact of COQ on Palestinian Food Manufacturing Companies’ performance and very few studies with similar scope, adding significant value to the current relative literature by assessing COQ practices in a developing country context. The study results also assist companies in understanding their current level of COQ and highlighting the obstacles and challenges these companies encounter. It provides a conceptual COQ best practices framework XVI intended to explain COQ practices' implementation and help companies understand how they can improve their performance through COQ practices implementation
