Abstract: This research sheds light on a behavior which is unacceptable neither socially nor religiously for «Abu Dulama» who lived in both the Umayyad and Abbasid eras. This will be through studying his poetry in which he turned away from his society’s beliefs, habits and traditions, so he became rebellious – a behavior which carried hatred and enmity to the society that he lived in. The research also looks for the reasons for this rebelliousness and its social and religious results through studying and analyzing his poetry following the analytic and descriptive method since its the best method for studying this topic.
