Title: English Teachers? Achievement Motivation In The light of Some Variables in Tulkarm Government Schools

Abstract: Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of English Language teachers’ achievement motivation in Tulkarm region in the light of these variables: gender, educational quali?cation, teaching grade, experience, and the number of sessions. To achieve this purpose, the researcher constructed a questionnaire which was distributed to a sample consisted of (93) teachers (47 males, and 46 females). Results showed the following: The general level of the English teachers’ achievement motivation is 1. moderate. There was statistical signi?cant difference between English language 2. teachers’ achievement motivation due to the variables: gender and educational quali?cation, in favor of females and who hold MA degrees. There was no statistical signi?cant difference between English language 3. teachers’ achievement motivation due to these variables: teaching stage, experience, and the number of sessions. The researcher recommends supplying the relevant social and economic circumstances for teachers, so as to increase the achievement motivation level, try to overcome the educational and professional problems which face the English language teachers and encourage other specialists and researchers to make more studies in this domain.
